Last night I laid out the design for my commemorative plate. The process was to first sketch possible designs on my sketch pad, convert a repeatable border pattern to digital using MSWord and my photo editor, print text to size and shape using Word, transfer most of the pattern to my plate using graphite paper, create a tag board template for the repeatable border, transfer the border using the template. Phew!
Yes, it took me a few hours to do this but careful preparation and design will lead to a great finished piece!
Tonite I should be able to begin the chip carving! Weehaa!
